Diagnostic Examination & Estimate
Before any servicing or repair of the watch, a complete diagnostic will be undertaken to ensure we provide you with a clear and accurate estimate. From when your watch arrives, through to creating the estimate, the watch is photographed and registered to take note of the condition of the watches exterior and any specific issues.

Cleaning of the Component Parts
Next, all the disassembled parts will be thoroughly cleaned. To do this for such intricate & delicate components, as well as traditional methods, they will go through ultrasonic cleaning tools to ensure all dust and dirt has been thoroughly removed prior to reassembly.

Watch Case Cleaning & Polishing
Next, it is the turn of your watch case to be disassembled. All the gaskets will be changed and, if it is required due to water resistance, a new crown & tube will be fitted. If you have requested the Service & Refinish option, next we will restore your watch to its original glory by hand-polishing the case and bracelet. Once carefully reassembled, we will then start the initial pressure test.

Calibration of Timing Mechanism
At the core of the movement is the balance wheel. Once this has been carefully calibrated, we will rigorously test the precision of the watch. To make sure the movement adheres to the standards of the manufacturer, the movement accuracy will be tested whilst placed across several different positions. Following this we will focus on the self-winding mechanism, dial and hands.

Water Resistance & Pressure Testing
Next, the watch case will be tested to determine that it meets all the water resistance requirements. A three step process; the watch will go through a rigorous process of 1) vacuum test, 2) a test for condensation and 3) a compression test. Subsequently, these will highlight if there is any leakage into the case and if moisture is discovered, the watch will be further investigated and made entirely water resistant.
